High Time

Why play the blame game
When we are the real culprits

We keep on asking for something or the other
But won't participate in making that happen

We ask for change
But will be the first ones to resist in our case

We ask for justice
But will be the first one to seek settlement when own ass is on fire

We ask for help or will surely expect the same
But won't be willing to when our time will come

No wonder politicians thrive for years together
Coz we just won't let them go

No wonder the problems still persists
Coz no one is interested to solve it to the full

Worst is, the audacity with which we defend the wrong
And unfortunately, it comes to us from our elders

What legacy are we living behind
What world are we leaving for the next generation

Seems the day is not far
When honesty is best policy
Shall be subject to market risks

Have things actually gone out of our hands
Is there no way out now

Unknown Moments

Not every reason is supposed to be known
Not every questions answer should be owned

Not every problem is problematic
Not every call can be termed autocratic

Being unknown elevates the fun two times
Being unknown is the real spice

The unknown carries a moment in it
That can be relived again and again

The unknown shall give you a memory to cherish
A reason to smile even in darkest of times

Some questions are worth living
Some moments are worth not remembering

For they contain the juice that helps us to rejuvenate
They give us a reason to live, when you fall among the unfortunate

The Silent Player

I don't like the noise
It complicates the already steep climb

I don't like those views
For each one provides, from their own viewpoint

I don't like the limelight
As it only obstructs the path

I don't like outside interference
For most are there only to break you in parts

Thats why I choose to be The Silent Player
Who tries to make his way, quietly, in the dark

That Silent Player
Who stays away from limelight, to ensure a clear path

Who keeps the noise at bay
Who restricts the circle of blabbery

That Silent Player
Who wanders in silence, as he breathes in each day

Silence allows me to Learn
Silence helps me Evolve

Silence teaches many lessons
Helps to master the art of introspection

Why to venture in someone else's path
If we can carve our own way

Better to bathe in our own mistakes
Rather than never experiencing the rain

Winning may not be assured
But satisfaction is aplenty, at the end of the day

I like being that Silent Player
Who tries to live in each moment, of every passing day

Mango People

What we say is patriotism
What we say is service to nation
What we say is definition of Religion
What we say is History
What we ask to pay is for the right cause
What we say that should be eating habits
What we decide that are your boundaries
What we promise are mere jumlas
What path we set is the only righteous one
What we do is always within the law
What we say is Relief
What we categorise is pain

If you question us, you are traitor
If you criticise our way, you are shortsighted
If you raise your voice, you are anti national
If you obstruct us, you are not progressive

Worried about power cuts, MAA speech ON
Worried about loss of subsidy, MAA speech ON
Worried about additional cess, MAA speech ON
Worried about higher taxes, MAA speech ON

Fooling people in day light robbery, yeah that's who we are
Deciding who eats what, yeah that's who we are
Indulging in Horse trading to achieve power, yeah that's who we are
Deciding what is right and what is wrong, yeah that's who we are
Shaking hands with those whom we called corrupt, yeah that's who we are

You criticise us today, come back to us tomorrow
You are angry on us today, fall in our next trap tomorrow
You despise us today, chant our name again tomorrow
You search option for us today, but will end up voting us tomorrow

All Will Be Well, Eventually

I can hear your heart yelling in silence
I can see the pain dropping from your eyes

I can see that frustration right on your face
I can sense your irritation coming now and then

I can hear those words, you aren't able to speak
I can see through your eyes, battles you fighting within

I can see you crying, desparately seeking change
I can see all of this, still can't do a thing
To bring some amount of it

I don't have answers to your questions
I don't have cure to your pain

I can't stop those eyes from getting wet
I can't help in the battles, you fight within

But won't let you be alone in the war
For I will be there near or around you

What I can do, is lend my hand
To live through these questions, today

The shoulder to cry, few words to bring that smile
And a pat on the back, saying
All Will Be Well, Eventually !!!

Sinner over Saint

Hope doesn't everytime helps
Always, faith won't ensure survival

One never rises, only delays the fall
Optimistically pessimist, is what we are afterall

The harder you try, more brutal is the pain
No matter how much you ignore the voices
They come haunting, with every drop of rain

So why to restrict the temptations
If frustration is what, thats waiting in the end

Better to live life, A Sinner
Rather than suffering being, A Saint

A Good Memory

Somewhere between 'Hi, I am..'
And 'Yeah, She was..' a lifetime we lived

Somewhere between 'Can we talk'
And 'We need to talk', a relationship passed away

Somewhere between 'You have a cute voice'
And 'Your words are hurtful', a dream was broken

Somewhere between 'You are a world to me'
And 'We are not meant for each other'
A love story ended

Emotions are termed fake,
And commitments, a hoax

The true love which you assumed
Turns out to be a big joke

But how can something be forever
When our life itself is temporary

So whatever might have been in the middle,
Should atleast be 'A Good Memory', in the end

Mumbai, slowdown

For long we have taken pride of being fast
Ever did we notice, the price paid for it

For years we are running like bulls without horns
Did we ever look back, whom we may have hurt along

Life is a precious gift, we teach our kids
How cheap it is down here
Do we even care about it

The city wants to sleep,
We don't allow it, for additional penny

The city wants to breathe,
But we don't spare a moment for it

Mumbaikar, you have seen too much
Now it's time, to Feel the loss

You saw the terror
Which fired bullets on you

You saw the broken bodies
Blown up in towers and trains

Even the nature didn't spare you
Drowned you in its wrath

Yet you stood up and left home
As if nothing happened last night

But we crossed all limits of agony the other night
When we saw Us dying under Our own feet

If this can't shake Us, then what will
We have to halt now to think upon it

Life is a race, I totally agree
But why it needs to be so brutal,
That someone may die in it

There will be blame game, there will be mockery
Some will make hay upon it and some will try to escape from it

Nothing have we got from the establishment
Nothing will we ever receive

It is time for us to realise now
Else a near ones head will be numbered in the pile
Or at worst, we will be in it

That so called spirit has taken too many lives
A smooth getaway, on which these pseudo leaders thrive

Slowdown Mumbai, you deserve some rest
Just to become someone else's dream,
See what you are losing in the end

Let go that spirit, give that soul a chance
Someone has to make a move to have a future
That shall be free of horrors, what we lived and saw

Nothing but This Change, is the need of the hour
Else that day is not far, when the city which never sleeps actually will not
As there won't be any living soul walking around
