Why always the universe works
Opposite of what we crave for
And puts in our kitty that part
Exactly what the doctor hadn't ordered for
Why is the time always up
When we want a thing to stay On
And every second becomes an hour
When the chips are down
Why we always fall short of words
When our moment at the altar is upon
And can scribble pages after page
When seated in the crowd
Why we talk the stupidest thing
Just, for another minute, to hold on
But forget to note the sensible parts
For the laters, to laugh upon
Many a time I wonder
Is my memory so weak
That I cannot recollect
Even the simplest of things
The answer to this question is surely a NO
But it still happens, that I cannot ignore
Little introspection and the answer was staring on my face
Clear as day but eyes choose to walk away
It lies in The Moment, when its actually On
That The Moment is happening, heart can't believe upon
Do I deserve it, question first pops
Answer is No, now mind and heart are head on
Shattered by this No, heart totally shuts down,
Memories get clouded for the realisation blocks view of the town
Still I try to hold upon that moment, somehow
For it might happen again or not, totally unsure
So the only face in it remains, is that of a clown
There will be words and There will be smile
But no one ever knows what actually is going On
